Over 300 members of Rwanda Youth Organization for Sustainable Development (RYOSD) on, September 2, completed a one week workshop on crime prevention at the Nation al Police College (NPC), in Musanze district.
The Minister of Local Government Hon Francis Kaboneka who officiated the closure of the workshop urged the participants to make a difference, have a collective responsibility on Crime Prevention and be exemplary in their families and communities.
“We Rwandans are the only people who have the responsibility to change Rwanda to where we want it to be” Hon Kaboneka said.
He also advised the youth to be honest and hard working so as to make a land mark change which will lead to the transformation of this nation.
Participants of the Youth Volunteers Training on Crime Prevention pledged fight and prevent crimes through patriotism, to preserve what has been achieved, fight against accidents, implement (Ndi Umunyarwanda) program and to prevent domestic violence to positively transform Rwanda
The organization is composed of about 7, 000 members countrywide who supports vulnerable communities by giving them medical insurance, livestock and carryout crime prevention awareness programmes in schools and communities against drug abuse, corruption and gender and domestic violence, among others.
