{Rwanda Defence Forces Teams have already won two gold medals, one in Basketball and another in Handball in EAC military games taking place in Kampala, Uganda. }
With the last matches in Basketball and Handball played on Monday evening 24th August 2015 Rwanda was winner in Basketball with 7 points out of 8 and in Handball with 6 points out of 8 points, receiving gold medals in both disciplines.
The best scorer in Handball with 39 points is Rugira Amande from Rwanda Team and his colleague Muhawenayo J Paul was ranked the best player in terms of discipline and performances.
In Basketball Rwanda won 3 matches and lost only one against Burundi. Mugabe Aristide from Rwanda Basketball team was the overall most valuable player ( MVP). In Handball Rwanda won three matches against Burundi, Kenya, Uganda and lost against Tanzania.
In Football, the final results will be known on Wednesday 26th August 205 during the closing ceremony according to fixtures. RDF Football team is currently leading with 7 out of 12 points followed by Uganda and Kenya both with 5 points.
The last two countries will play their last match on Wednesday while Rwanda has already finished all games on its schedule. It is anticipated that RDF Football team will emerge the winner if Uganda and Kenya draw. If one of them wins the match then RDF will gain the second position.
In Cross Country RDF teams ranked third for 8 km Women race and 12 Km Men race. Kenya won the Gold medal in that discipline followed by Uganda. In Netball women, RDF team ranked fourth. Uganda won the gold medal in Netball Women.
The EAC military games will be closed on Wednesday 26 August 2015 at Mandela Stadium, Namboole in Kampala. All 5 EAC partner States namely Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda are participating in the EAC Military Games and Culture aimed at fostering friendship and cooperation among partner states.
