{{Rwanda will on Tuesday host the Global Environment Facility Expended Constituency Workshop.}}
The international workshop has been organized by the Global Environment Facility (GEF),a global fund for projects to improve global environment,especially projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic pollutants.
This workshop to be held at Hotel des Mille Collines will discuss about how country stakeholders (Rwanda included) get involved in GEF, the GEF 2020 strategy, the new GEF fee policy and GEF procedures for Civil Society Participation in GEF programs and projects, among other subjects.
Participants will on May 16, have the opportunity to visit sites where projects financed by GEF have been ran in order to see their achievements.
This workshop is expected to attract representatives from Civil Society, GEF focal points from different African Countries, representatives from GEF secretariat and the GEF agencies (UNDP, UNEP,..), among others.
