Rwanda’s CPI Rises 1.9% in July 2014

{{Rwanda’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), main gauge of inflation has risen 1.9 percent year on year in July 2014, up from 1.4 percent in June 2014.}}

In July 2014, “food and non-alcoholic beverages” and Education” rose by 2.4 and 7.1 percent year on year, respectively.

The data also show the “local goods” increased by 2.3 percent on annual change with a monthly change of 0.1 percent. Besides, the prices of the “imported products” increased by 0.8 percent on annual change with a monthly change of 0.9 percent.

The prices of the “fresh products” had a positive annual change of 2.2 percent between July 2014 and July 2013.
