Rwanda registers four more COVID-19 deaths, 112 new cases

The statement released last night shows that 112 people have caught the virus out of 14529 sample tests, five recovered while 11 are critically ill. The positivity rate currently stands at 0.8%.

A total of 1,640,974 people have been fully vaccinated while 2,099,305 received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Rwanda plans to have 30% of the population vaccinated by December this year and 60% by June 2022.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
