{The minister of justice, Johnston Busingye has proclaimed that Rwanda respected 64 of 67 human rights rulings commended to Rwanda in 2011.He demonstrated that allegations of human rights violation result from people who are not updated on judicial proceedings. }
In a press briefing held on Tuesday 10th November, 2015, Minister Busingye said that 64 arbitration have been respected 100% adding that remaining decisions will soon be addressed rightly.
Fifty rulings of human rights respect the United Nations commended Rwanda; include repeated allegations of lack of freedom among political parties, lack of media freedom and injustice among others.
Minister Busingye declared that the country releases reports on human rights concerns .As he noted last week it was realized that Rwanda’s allegations are common adding that Rwanda undoubtedly proves evidence of long term achievements.
He proclaimed that Rwanda has clarified the rate of political freedom and demonstrated how political parties are active, sharing ideas as well as operating in a desired setting.
The CEO of Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) Prof. Shyaka Anastase, also shared that political freedom questioning, results from Rwandan directives to adopt a political system complying with population’s wishes which is contrary to African continent’s situation.
Commenting on media freedom, he said that Rwanda has demonstrated how far the country has reached to enhance a self regulatory media which expelled violence exerted on journalists.
Research findings RGB conducted in 2014 proved that 76% Rwandans are satisfied with media outlets compared to 52% satisfaction of 2012.
Minister Busingye recalled that Rwandan judiciary capacity is characterized by freedom and impartiality .He argues that these standards have been motivating foreign countries to deport Rwandan fugitives to face trial within the country.
“When United States, International Criminal Court, Canada and Netherlands transfer extraditions accompanied by auditing team that finally releases a good report on proceedings ,proves foundations of evidence for Rwandan judicial systems.”He said.
Minister Busingye highlighted that unfairness of judicial systems is declared by people who are not informed on the development Rwanda has attained.
