Rwanda Q1 2013 GDP slows to 5.9%

{{Rwanda’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth slowed to 5.9% in the first quarter of 2011, down from 7.0% the previous year, the statistics office said, indicating the slowest first quarter growth in three years.}}

Growth was 5.2 percent in the first quarter of 2010, according to a report by the National Institute of Statistics.

For 2013, the services sector contributed by 45% of GDP compared to 32% by the agriculture sector.

The remainder or 17% was attributable to the industrial sector and 6% as adjustment, the report showed.
