Rwanda: Police introduces online reporting system

{Rwanda National police has introduced a new way of reporting missing people and properties using online reporting (E-reporting).}

This type of reporting will involve the use telephone gadgets, and other machines connected to internet.

This new system of reporting was introduced this Wednesday 13th November 2013.

According to this system there is a way you fill the page on the police website including details concerned with missing people, stolen properties and other issues concerning the appreciation or mistakes on the services offered by the Rwanda police.

The police spokesman ACP Damas Gatare says, “This is the quickest way by which the police can interact with the public in such circumstances”.

“In order for us to avoid and limit crimes in the country, Rwandan police has decided to introduce the online system in order to interact with the public through online suggestions and information.”
We get this system as the best way to offer our services to the public “Said the police spokesperson Gatare Damas.

He added that, “people can now inform us online about missing individual, lost properties and also make suggestions to the police without moving from one place to another and the police call upon everyone to work with the police through using this system for information”.

This website will also be used in reporting the police staff that commits various crimes like corruption.

The online report form is currently available at the following police website www.police.gov.rw whereby you can click Kinyarwanda while using Kinyarwanda language, English to those using English, secondly click on e-policing, then you will find a copy of paper to fill and lastly you look at the right end of the page then send.
