Rwanda peacekeepers Level 2 Hospital decorated in Central African Republic

Rwanda Level 2 Hospital peacekeepers, component of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), were awarded with UN medals in recognition of their contribution to maintaining peace and stability in Central African Republic (CAR).

The medal award ceremony was presided over by the MINUSCA Deputy Force Commander, Maj Gen SIDIKI Daniel TRAORE, and was held in Bria on 8 July 2016.

Maj. Gen. SIDIKI Daniel TRAORE told the recipients that the Rwanda Level 2 Hospital has provided medical services in line with UN Level II Hospital requirements and developed a good collaboration with collocated forces and healthcare units. “We thank the Rwandan government leadership to avail such valuable asset to MINUSCA. I congratulate the Commanding Officer and all the hospital staff for their professionalism, customer care and courage while carrying out this noble cause”, he said.

Rwanda Level 2 Hospital Commanding Officer, Lt Colonel Dr King KAYONDO pledged the continuous commitment of the Rwandan Peacekeepers to MINUSCA. “We would like to ensure the MINUSCA leadership of our entire availability and that we are strongly committed to complete the task assigned to us with dedication, discipline and professionalism”, Lt Col Dr King said. He further thanked his team for completing their mission with courage, professionalism and determination, as well as for their team work spirit.
