Rwanda peacekeepers join French soldiers to protect François Hollande,Touadera in CAR

Rwanda Peacekeepers (Rwandabatt3) serving under the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Central Africa Republic (MINUSCA) and the French military Contingent in Central African Republic (CAR), serving under Sangaris, jointly provided security to Presidents François Hollande of France and Faustin Archange TOuadera of CAR. This joint operation was held during a one day visit of President Hollande in CAR on 13 May 2016.

After their meeting, both Presidents held a joint press conference during which President Hollande reiterated that the French Sangaris Mission will soon been completely ended.It should be recalled that the Sangaris French mission has been operating in CAR since 2013 when religion related violence started.

Under full joint protection of Rwandabatt3 and French soldiers of Sangaris, the two presidents also visited different areas of Bangui City, including Centre Pastoral at 4th Arrondissement and PK5 at the 3rd Arrondissement.
