Rwanda Defence Forces Give Back to the Community in Uganda

Kampala, UgandaAs Rwanda marks 21 years after the struggle that ended the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi today a lot of activities have and are still being carried out in Rwanda and outside Rwanda in remembrance of the liberation struggle that was by the gallant sons and daughters of Rwanda who fought to take back their Dignity and repute after all the turmoil by previous governments and their Aides.

In Uganda today as Rwanda celebrates 21 years of liberation, celebrations will be held at the High Commissioner’s residence.

There have been a range of activities carried out since the month of June especially in Gishambashayo where roads, health facilities and schools are being constructed by the RDF. The Rwanda Defence Forces in their KWIBOHOZA campaign together with the Rwandan community in Entebbe decided to construct a residential house for an 81yr old RPF Cadre a one Ms. KANKINDI Euphrasie who played a significant role in the struggle that led to the liberation of Rwanda.

Lt.Col. James Burabyo the Rwanda High Commission Defence attaché handed over the contribution made by Rwanda Defence forces through Rwanda High Commission Kampala, and thanked the Entebbe Rwandans community for this initiative to construct a permanent residence for one of the elderly and RPF cadres here in Uganda. He thanked them for knowing their Dignity and urged them to work towards achieving prosperity with Dignity.

On the other hand Ms. Kankindi was very delighted to see the fruit of input in the struggle which she says was all done due to the Rwandan dignity and love for her country that was in her then till she rests.

Ms. Colette Mukandoli the vice chairperson of the Rwandan association in Entebbe was delighted by the helping hand that has been send by RDF to support this noble cause and asks Rwandans across the world to embrace the spirit of patriotism to serve above their interests but the greater big which is our Country Rwanda.
