Rwanda and Singapore sign an Agreement on DTA

{Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Rwanda Louise Mushikiwabo on Tuesday, signed an Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement after their meeting.}

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam exchanging the Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement he signed with his counterpart from the Republic of Rwanda, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Louise Mushikiwabo.

The agreement was signed at the sidelines of the Sub-Saharan Africa High Level Ministerial Exchange Visit, Singapore Foreign Affairs Ministry revealed in a statement.

Minister Shanmugam and Minister Louise Mushikiwabo discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of trade and investments.

Shanmugam also held a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Mauritius and Tanzania.

With Tanzanian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahadhi Juma Maalim, Minister Shanmugam welcomed the growing relations, as exemplified by the increasing Singapore commercial interests in Tanzania. Minister Shanmugam also encouraged Tanzania to send its officials for training in Singapore under the Singapore Cooperation Programme.
