{A delegation of nine Defence and Military Officials led by Gen Josef Becvar the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic yesterday held talks with Hon Minister of Defence Gen James Kabarebe and Rwanda Defence Force Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Patrick Nyamvumba on improving cooperation.

At Defence Headquarters, the delegation from Czech Republic discussed with their Rwandan counterparts the ways and means of strengthening the long existing good relations between the two Defence Forces.
In a media briefing shortly after the meeting, Mr Jean Malik Kalima, Honourary Council of the Czech Republic in Rwanda, disclosed that the visit aimed at exploring defence cooperation between Defence Forces of the Czech Republic and Rwanda Defence Force.
“The main aim of the visit is to explore ways on how the two countries’ Defence Forces may further cooperate in defence matters especially in training,” Jean Malik Kalima said.
This was also underscored by the Acting Defense and Military Spokesperson, Lt Col René Ngendahimana.
