Following a recent field visit on September 24, Rusizi District, MINALOC committee has urged stakeholders of the district to actively support development.
The head of the Rural Settlement Taskforce in MINALOC, Augustine Kampayana said that the field tour aimed at exchanging ideas with respective institutions in order to establish ways of implementing 2012-2013 performance contracts and to continuously support Rusizi district to ensure its development success.
Priorities to be considered,include demacation of plots where the District will establish its infrastructures and make properties to be more productive.
Nzeyimana Oscar, the mayor of Rusizi District, among the plots in claims, they are plots owned by National Police especially in Karambo Camp and other plots owned by the Ministry of Infrastructure at Kinini camp.
However, Nzeyimana calls on different investors to be part of the District’s development.
He urged RSSB to build houses to accommodate agencies including ORINFOR, RRA, EWSA, Banks and other non governmental .
Rusizi district was positioned 27th in the 2011-2012 performance contracts evaluation among 30 districts in the whole country.
