Even though information about Niyonsaba’s arrest is still scanty, IGIHE has received information that he may have misallocated money meant to buy cows under the Girinka program donated by Genocide Survivors Assistance Fund (FARG).
It is said that the misallocated money was expected to buy cows for vulnerable genocide survivors of Bweyeye sector.
Niyonsaba Oscar was arrested yesterday around 6:00 pm.
In an interview with IGIHE, the spokesperson of police in western Province, IP Jean Damascene Hodari Ngemanyi confirmed that Nsabimana is arrested but didn’t reveal more.
“Niyonsaba Oscar has been arrested by police but his case is being investigated,” he said. Niyonsaba is being held in Kamembe police station.
