The decision was announced through a statement released by RURA on Friday 19th August 2022.
The decision taken before two-year target the regulator had set for revision of fares is influenced by the increase in fuel prices.
RURA has also revealed that a passenger is necessitated to pay Rwf117/km when the distance goes between 2 to 40 kilometers.
As per released statement, the tariff is fixed at Rwf205/km from Rwf181/km when the distance goes beyond 40 kilometers.
RURA has also set the waiting time tariff at Rwf21 every minute beyond the free 10 minutes.
The new tariffs will go into effect on 22nd August 2022.
