Rubavu Youths Urged to find Solutions to Community Problems

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and ICT, Rosemary Mbabazi has challenged Youth in Rubavu District to help find solutions to the country’s existing problems like helping vulnerable people.

She made the remarks while officially launching the ‘Students on the field’ week in Rubavu District on Saturday organized by the students’ Forum of Rwandan Higher Institutions of Learning.

Addressing hundreds of Youth from Rubavu District, RTUC and ULK Gisenyi; Mbabazi challenged the students to look for solutions to some problems in the society.

“Youth will work hand in hand with local leaders to solve many problems in the society,” Mbabazi said.

Daniel Komezusenge, the President of the Forum of Rwandan Higher Institutions of Learning Students noted that Students week will contribute in identifying what youth want to happen in their lives and help them work towards building good future.

Students will engage in the fight against drug abuse, HIV AIDS and help vulnerable people in the society.

Mbabazi said that students are seen by local residents as elites, she added that students have to approach local people and know their problems.

The Mayor of Rubavu District, Hassan Bahame pledged to continue support all activities initiated by Youth with a purpose to help Rubavu residents.
