The Rwanda Stock Exchange share index (RSI) went up 2.63 points to close at 214.57 and mainly pushed by the rising BK share price which closed at Rwf 200.
The total turnover for the day was Rwf 25,791,400 from 72,300 BK shares and 14,900 Bralirwa shares traded in 14 deals compared to the previous trading session which recorded a total turnover Rwf 72,408,700 from 70,600 BK shares and 73,300 Bralirwa shares traded in 13 deals.
Bralirwa shares traded between Rwf 800-813 and closed at Rwf 800, unchanged from yesterday’s closing price whereas BK counter traded between Rwf 186-200 and closed at Rwf 200, registering an increase of Rwf 10 compared to yesterday’s closing price.
KCB shares last transacted at Rwf 169 while NMG shares last transacted at Rwf 1,200.
At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 36,000 BK shares at Rwf 200 and no outstanding bids. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding bids of 86,200 shares between Rwf 770 – 780 and outstanding offers of 86,200 shares between Rwf 813-818.
In the mean time, KCB ltd. has announced a first and final dividend for the year 2012 of Kshs 1.90 per share to be paid on or about Friday, June 14th, 2013 subject to the Annual General Meeting approval. The book closure date will be May 13th, 2013.
