Robot Contest is scheduled to take place at Hotel La palisse Nyandungu in Gasabo district on Friday, 28th March from 10 AM to 5 PM.
This competition co-organized by Workforce Development Authority (WDA), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Tumba College of Technology, presents the fourth “ROBOT CONTEST” to provide an opportunity for practical work to students in Technical / Vocational Education and Training Institutions thus contributing to improved practical skills.
JICA introduced Robot contest in Rwanda in 2009, 2011 and 2012 and funded the total costs of those contests.
The Objective is to provide an opportunity, to apply technical skills and knowledge into practice, to contribute to the strengthening of practice-oriented technical education, to be the first step towards a robot contest as improvement in advanced science and technology, to get aware of a level of practical skills of students in TVET Schools/Universities /Institutions through the competition and to provide an opportunity of exchange among TVET Schools /Universities /Institutions in Rwanda.
