RDF concludes a two day workshop on peacekeeping operations

{The training workshop on Peacekeeping Operations that had started on 19 April 2016 at RDF Headquarters was concluded yesterday on 20 April 2016. The two day workshop had been organised by Rwanda Defence Force in collaboration with the Africa Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA), a US Government sponsored program.}

The workshop aimed at reviewing the lessons learnt in Peace Support Operations. It was officially closed by the Air Force Chief of Staff, Brig Gen Charles Karamba, on behalf of the RDF Chief of Defence Staff.

While presiding over the closing ceremony, Brig Gen Charles Karamba stressed the importance of organising such workshops aiming at enhancing Peace Support Operations training package.

“The way we will operate tomorrow should be different from the way we operated yesterday”, he noted. General Karamba furthermore observed that “the two day workshop extracted from the rich experience of the participants enough factual information that will enable us to enrich the PSO training package, for better operational efficiency, to save lives and contribute to a safe world”.
