Rwanda Development Board has called upon unregistered Companies to register their business so that RDB is able to be in touch with them and keep being informed about the business trend in Rwanda.
Eusebe Muhikira, the head of trade and manufacturing department at RDB has announced that up-to-date, Rwanda has about 123 Commercial Companies but some are not yet registered.
He said some people own small and medium businesses which are not registered.
Some also create businesses in rural communities that later fail.
RDB said if businesses are not active they should unregister them to let RDB know the exact number of active businesses
Among the existing companies, a great number of them are Small enterprises.
However, RDB says there are some of the big companies operating in Rwanda which are able to compete on international market.
