The Challenges of Managing Risk in the Public Sector become increasingly pressing as new services are introduced, new user protective legislation is enacted, new and existing rights become increasingly dominant in evaluating service provision, and the consequences of service failure become increasingly subject to legislation.

This forum is targeting most executives in charge of risk management and all professionals in the following lines:

• Evaluation • Financial and Administrative Service
• Accountability • In-house Counsel
• Controllership • Assurance Services

During that event, Chief Guest, Dr, Patrick Uwizeye, General Manager for MTN said that that Risk Management is so important for the Public Sector given that the Government of Rwanda has different strategies for economic growth such as: EDPRS 1 and 2. And in order to come up with better strategies, we need to identify or be in position to set limits for the risks and therefore be in position to manage them correctly.
