{{The Prime Minsiter Dr. Pierre Damien Habumuremyi has called upon public institutions to enhance their coexistence with families of former deceased employees killed in the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.}}
In his twit message, the premier noted, “@HabumuremyiP …Govt institutions, private sector, religious community have to increase co existence with relatives of their former deceased employees”.
In the events before and during the genocide in 1994, several Ethnic Tutsi’s working in several public institutions and religious institutions were enlisted for extermination. There are survivors of members of families of these former employees of many organizations in which they worked.
Some institutions have established monuments in honour of their employees that were killed during the genocide against the tutsi that claimed over a million lives.
The premier had earlier at the beginning of the 19th commemoration of genocide against Tutsi, noted, during this mourning week we call upon Rwanda citizens countrywide to get together & assist survivors of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis.
Dr. Habumuremyi has also noted that while mourning victims of 1994 Genocide, youth as future of Rwanda must learn & understand the history of their country and called upon parents to positively nurture their children, “Parents’responsibility is to teach children the root cause of the tragedy that Rwanda experienced looking forward to build a united country”.
