Professor Malonga represents Rwanda in world Kiswahili Conference

{A World Kiswahili Conference, the first of its kind, was held in Nairobi Kenya from 16th to 17th December 2016, attracting 100 professors and other Kiswahili specialists and promoters from the USA, Europe, West Africa, Southern Africa, Central and EAC, a wide representation never seen before.}

Rwanda was represented by Professor Malonga a onetime chief of State Protocol and special adviser to the Chief of United Nations Human Rights Commission in Rwanda (UNHRFOR) who is now concentrating on enriching the language.

Speaking about the conference, the “Tujifunze Kiswahili” presenter thanked the Government of Rwanda for adopting Kiswahili as the fourth official language.

“I celebrated that adoption and hope Rwandans will undergo a mindset change from perceiving Kiswahili as a language of the uncivilized, illiterate and moslems,” he said.

Malonga added that ever since Rwanda joined the East African Community he left everything else to concentrate on helping Rwandans to learn Kiswahili as the easiest and faster medium towards integration.

Kiswahili is indeed the language for business, tourism, cultural exchange and true sustainable communication and development of the East African States and beyond.

Professor Malonga argued that once again the leadership of President Paul Kagame whom he considers as a super thinker and visionary leader was applauded by all Kiswahili and Rwanda lovers as they kept sending messages of appreciation for the adoption of Kiswahili in Rwanda.
