President of Chinese parliament to visit Rwanda

{The president of Chinese parliament, Zhang Dejiang is set to visit Rwanda tomorrow to hold talks with representatives of Rwandan parliamentary chamber of deputies and senators.}

The Chinese parliament known as ‘National People’s Congress to China’ (NPC), is the largest parliament across the World with 2,987 members.

It is expected that Dejiang will visit Kigali genocide memorial and hold talks with the president of Rwandan parliamentary chamber of deputies and the president of parliamentary chamber of senators.

This is the first time Dejiang, 70, ld is visiting Rwanda .He is among the communist political party members which he has been representing in the parliament since 2002. After 10 years of representing the party, Dejiang was appointed the president of Chinese parliament.

Since 1971, Rwanda and China have been strengthening bilateral cooperation. China supports Rwanda in education, health, technology and construction sectors.
