Burundi’s Presidency has via Twitter handle revealed that Cardinal Kambanda is in Burundi for a meeting of the association of episcopal conferences from Rwanda and Burundi (ACOREB).
Cardinal Kambanda was hosted along with Bishop Philippe Rukamba, the President of the Episcopal Conference in Rwanda and two Burundian colleagues. Ndayishimiye was with his wife, Angeline Ndayubaha as he hosted the clerics.
ACOREB was created on 6th June 1981. It seeks to promote the sharing of experiences along the evangelization journey.
It is currently chaired by Bishop Gervais Banshimiyubusa of Ngozi Diocese in Burundi, Bishop Philippe Rukamba from Rwanda and Father Lambert Nicitegetse.
