President Kagame wins Grand Prix MEDays award

{President Kagame has received the 2015 Grand Prix MEDays award over playing a big role in stabilization, reconstruction, reconciliation as well as tremendous development he brought to Rwandans }

The award was presented on this Wednesday at the International Forum MEDays held in Morocco.The forum aims at identifying sustainable solutions to multidimensional crisis that marked 2015.

President Kagame has been recognized for promoting peace and democracy based on the big role he played in the reconstruction of the country.

Brahim Fassi Fihri, the president of Amadeus Institute in Morocco ,explained that the award represents distinctive vision and leadership of president Kagame for bringing Rwanda to occupy places in international rankings going in hand with improvement of the country’s competitiveness and attractiveness both socially and economically.

He added that the distinction is an expression of common will of Morocco and Rwanda to open a new chapter in their political and economic relations.

Talking at the summit ,president Kagame has assured that the award is of particular interest to him since it reflects the values of peace and democracy and acknowledges the role of Rwanda to promote development and stability in the continent.

President Kagame also expressed thanks and gratitude to Morocco for its constant support for the African continent and its continuous and tireless efforts to strengthen its relations with Rwanda.

The recent 2014 Grand Prix MEDays award was handed to former Prime minister of Tunisia Mehdi Jomaa.

The four days meeting held in Morocco is expected to host 2500 participants including heads of states, ministers, political leaders and non-governmental institutions to bring on board resolutions of crisis that marked 2015.
