President Paul Kagame has received the Chinese parliament president, Zhang Dejiang who is on a two days visit to Rwanda.
Zhang Dejiang is the third influential leader in China after the Chinese president, Xi Jinping and the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
Zhang Dejiang and the delegation of 50 people accompanying him arrived in Rwanda yesterday in a tour aimed at improving China’s cooperation with Africa especially Rwanda.
President Kagame has received Zhang Dejiang after he met the senate president, Bernard Makuza in the morning where the two leaders agreed to collaborate in the promotion of Rwanda’s industries.
Talking to the press after an exclusive meeting, Makuza said that talks with Zhang Dejiang highlighted that bilateral relations between Rwanda and China are rooted on mutual respect and cooperation.
China is a partner of Rwanda in various activities including industrial sector and infrastructures development.
