President Paul Kagame today laid a wreath at Heroes Square in honor of Rwanda National Heroes.
Celebrations to mark the 19th Heroes’ Day were held at the village level to engage citizen participation at the grass roots and for neighbors to share in the spirit of the national day.
Kagame has said Rwandans remember and honour their Heroes who sacrificed their lives so that today Rwandans can enjoy liberty and lead dignified lives.
The theme for this year’s celebrations is “Heroism, the foundation of dignity and development.”
