The Local Government ministry calls upon Rwandans to honour the two days.
According to a tweet by RwandaLocalGov @RwandaLocalGov , ” #Rwandans gather #Imidugudu to reflect on #Africa’s independence and #Rwanda’s journey towards self-reliance July 4 #liberation19 #Kwigira”.
However, Burundi, is also celebrating its 51st Independence Day since it shed off Belgian colonial rule.
President Paul Kagame and Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya are currently attending the independence celebrations in Bujumbura.
