{President Paul Kagame is attending the 13th summit of heads of states from Northern Corridor held in Kampala/Uganda today on April 23rd, 2016.}
The previous similar summit was held in Kigali in January, 2016 and brought together security personnel including; military, police, correctional services, and emigration and immigration officers and shared common responsibilities of promoting Northern Corridor Integration Projects.
Experts who attended the meeting came up with recommendations of how best cooperation can be fast-tracked at different levels through the Northern Corridor Integration Projects.
Resolutions in the previous meet include the process of admitting other countries that have applied to become member states, security preservation, cooperation in conflict resolution and mutual support in addressing crises of member states.
The current member states of the Northern Corridor project are; Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan.
