Premeir Hails Pyramides Mining Company

{{Since investing in Rwanda, Pyramides Mining Company acquired a land of 450 hectares reserved for Mining activities and up to now the company is operating on 20 hectares.}}

The company is based in Kabacuzi Sector, Muhanga District.

Mahmoud Salem, the Managing Director of the Company says the company has 132 workers among whom 102 are part-time while 30 work as full time employees.

The company started its activities in 2002 and that time it was operating as a trading company where in 2003 it became a mining company.

In 2004 the company was issued full license to operate in Rwanda.
Currently the company produces about 5tons of Colombo tantalite.

While visiting the site, Prime Minister Dr.Pierre Damien Habumuremyi and Rwanda Minister of Natural Stanislas Kamanzi urged that law governing Mining in Rwanda should be respected, to protect environment and ensure dignity, transparency and close collaboration in order to increase production always aiming at a sustainable development.
