Police beat Kigoma to set their encounter with APR in the finals, who had also eliminated Nyakabanda.
As anticipated, Police emerged champions after beating APR 31-21.
It was also a twin celebration as Police received both the Carré d’ AS and the national league cups
It is their fifth trophy of the seasons, technically, they have won all local tournaments.
Others include Labour Day, Memorial and Liberation cups.
Police club and its coach were also named the best team and coach of the season.
“Players showed high team spirit, they remained focused from the first to the last game, they were very eager to bring glory to Rwanda National Police. This is why they were able to bring to our cabin all the five trophies” said Ntabanganyimana.
“It is their outstanding performance that also made me the best coach,” he added.
Police Handball Club will next month depart to Nairobi, Kenya to represent Rwanda in the Eastern and Central Africa handball tournament scheduled to be held between December 5th and 12th.
