The four-time national league champions – 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 – scored 25 goals before the break against 8 for the hosts.
After the break, the law enforcers, who are seeking their third trophy this season alone, maintained the same thirst for goals scoring more 21 goals.
They claimed the Heroes Day Cup in February after trouncing APR in the finals before adding the second in the cabin after beating Uganda’s Evergreen in the finals of this year’s International Genocide Memorial Tournament Championship.
Fidele Hagenimana scored 11 individual high goals to take Police to the summit with 36 maximum points, two ahead of their closest challenger, APR.
Coach Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) Antoine Ntabanganyimana attributed the season excellent performance to good preparations backed by support by the mother institution, Rwanda National Police.
“Our focus is now on the six remaining matches,” AIP Ntabanganyimana said.
The remaining matches are against College Inyemeramihigo of Gisenyi in Rubavu District, GS Rambura, University of Rwanda College of Education and College of Arts and Social Sciences, ES Urumuri of Karongi and the final league match will be against APR.
