{{Police in Bugesera District has arrested a man, who has been on the run after he allegedly killed his wife.}}
Elisa Rwagatore 31, went missing after allegedly killing his wife, Appoline Mukantagengwa on January 5 at their home in Ntongwe Sector in Ruhango District.
He was arrested on January 27 in Ruhuha Sector Bihari Cell in Bugesera. He is currently held at Ruhuha Police Station.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Rwagatore killed his wife after the deceased accused him of marrying and a second wife and abandoning his responsibilities.
The suspect killed his wife using a machete.
Destin Ngedahayo, the Executive secretary of Ntongwe sector said the suspect could have been tempted to kill the wife after the latter refused to give in some of their harvested crops to the new wife.
