Partners in Health Contribute Frw23M to Agaciro Fund

Staff from Partners in Health/Inshuti Mu Buzima, a Non Governmental Organization has contributed over Rwf 23 Million to Agaciro Fund as an effort to support development Programs in Rwanda.

Habinshuti Antoinette from PIH says that PIH/IMB staff enthusiastically pledged 10% of their salaries to this initiative.

PIH/IMB employees have surpassed their original pledge and over 95% of staff have participated by giving to the fund.

The director general of National Budget in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Bayingana Elias has thanked PIH staffs who voluntarily contribute to Agaciro calling upon other NGOs to participate in this initiative.

The Agaciro Development Fund is a solidarity fund that has been initiated by Rwandans to improve the level of financial autonomy of Rwanda as a nation.

The uniqueness of the fund is that it is Rwandans themselves that will finance it.

The Agaciro Development Fund sets the tone that Rwandans will work together to drive their own development; giving the entire Rwandan population a higher level of direct ownership in the nation’s projects.
