Over 700 youth undertake civic education, advised on national values

{The Minster of Youth and ICT, Jean Philbert Nsengimana has requested the youth to relentlessly strive towards overcoming Rwanda’s tragic history and commit to consolidating the gains made so far, transforming the country into what they want it to be. }

Minister Nsengimana gave the advice as he addressed 754 youth from across the country including 68 from Diaspora that attended a civic education dubbed ‘Urunana rw’Urungano’ in Gabiro, Gatsibo district from 6th December 2016.

“ We want to train you in strengthening a bond of unity that no foreign force can uproot. You have to be strong in whatever you do, have a shared vision, with a clear understanding of the past and the present situation knowing that the force and dreams to build the country will come from us,” he advised.

“ We want to have healthy youth, free of drug abuse, unwanted pregnancies and preventable ailments, with good understandings, good moral values , potential and knowledge. We want patriotic youth that overcome the dark past and in tending to lead the country in the right direction, working hard and innovative,” he added.

The Minister of Sports and Culture ,Uwacu Julienne who also talked to the youth reminded them to embrace moral values and feel proud of the Rwandan spirit as they are tomorrow leaders.
