Three Rwandans living in different countries have been awarded for excellent deeds in representing their native country.
The award ceremony was held on May 28th, 2016 evening in Belgium’s capital city Brussels.
Anna Dushime, Aimable Karirima Ngarambe and Patrice Shema Gateja were recognized as awardees who received Excellence Prize.
The ceremony was organized by Ejo Heza Group comprising of Rwandans from across the world in collaboration with Rwanda’s Diaspora in Belgium and ‘Rwanda Diaspora Global Network (RDGN)’.
The event was attended by participants from Rwanda, Ivory Cost, Sweden, Norway, England, Holland, France, United States, Italy, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Ireland and Senegal among others.
Anna Dushime, a young lady among the awardees was recognized for excellence when she took care of Syrian refugees having fled to Germany where she lives. She accommodated to her residence a family of Syrian refugees comprised of a mum, father and children and provided other basic needs for them as a family having escaped a country devastated by war.
Her deeds were heard and read through various international media like CNN which spread the news of her acts of valor and won many people’s hearts.
Patrice Shema Gateja was recognized for excellent deeds among Rwanda’s Diaspora in England.
His award was also dedicated to all Rwandan Diaspora in England for excellent acts, commitment and devotion in working together.
The third recognized icon Aimable Karirima Ngarambe is the representative of IGIHE-Belgique, a department of IGIHE news medium operating in Europe. He was recognized for role in disseminating information on various activities of Rwandans in Europe and other parts of the World over the past five years.
The president of RDGN-Rwanda Diaspora Global Network, Alice Cyusa has lauded Rwanda’s Diaspora across the World who attended the event and voiced special appreciation to Ejo Heza Group for devotion and commitment in the preparation of Excellence Prize.
Pulchérie Nyinawase, the leader of Rwanda’s Diaspora in Belgium revealed willingness to back Ejo Heza Group and lauded the group for the good idea of building pride and honor to Rwanda’s community.
Excellence Prize award giving is held annually.
