One person, a turn-boy, was yesterday afternoon severely injured when driver of a vehicle carrying bricks failed to negotiate a turn and got derailed in Gihundwe cell of Kamembe sector at a place known as Matheus, Rusizi district.
The injured, Baranyeretse Alphonse, was hit by the bricks as the vehicle derailed and the driver jumped out leaving it on a freefall, getting severely injured on the head.
The executive secretary of Kamembe sector, Ntivuguruzwa Gervais has confirmed that Alphonse has been seriously injured.
He and another injured person have been taken to Gihungwe Hospital for medical attention.
