About a Hectare of marijuana garden has been discovered in Nyungwe Forest. The garden has been in place since September 2012.
Police is currently holding suspects found in the garden tending to the narcotic crop.
The suspects told Police that the garden belongs to a Burundian national that had employed them at the garden.
Police in conjuction with RDB have destroyed the marijuana crop in the garden urging Rwandans to always report such cases involving the cultivation of marijuana crop.
A tip off from Park wadens revealed the presence of the garden located in the middle of the forest. Par wadens had conducted a 7-days patrol of the par when they came across the marijuana garden.
