Ombudsman office gets bailiff

The ombudsman’s office, for the first time in its history, has got a court bailiff to follow up with incomplete cases speed up the execution of pending cases.

The Minister of Justice and the Attorney General, Johnston Busingye, presided over the swearing in ceremony of non-professional court bailiffs from various levels.

A total of 49 individuals sworn in include the executive secretary of Bugesera district, a court bailiff at the office of the ombudsman, sector and cell executive secretaries and notaries of Rwanda Development Board.

Segutunga Philbert was sworn in as a bailiff in the ombudsman office with the mandate of expeditiously handling backlog cases.

The Minister of Justice, Johnston Busingye who presided over the swearing in ceremonies advised them to be committed and always act responsibly.
