Oman Investors Interested in Methane Gas Extraction

Prime minister Dr pierre Damien Habumuremyi received a delegation of investors from Oman led by Dr Al, Mohamed Barwani.

The investors with MB holding company are in Rwanda to assess potential investment opportunities in methane gas extraction.

The Delegation said they are interested in investments in methane extraction, petroleum mining of precious stones and that they already had other investments in tourism.

Dr. Habumuremyi thanked the investors for having chosen Rwanda promising that government would ensure their investment was efficiently conducted.

Dr. al Mohamed Barwani who led the delegation and head of MB holding said he will send experts to analyse possibilities of investments in Rwanda.

Dr Mohamed said that he chose Rwanda for its secure, non corrupt, clean and fast developing atmosphere.

MB holding company has other investments around Europe Middle East and African countries with ventures in Tanzania Namibia and South Africa.

Claire Akamanzi , the acting CEO of Rwanda Development Board said that the investors had many options in sectors to invest in including energy, methane gas extraction, petroleum among others and are now in talks to finalise the process.
