The new water system will reduce on long distances residents endured while in search of water.
The system is estimated to have cost about Frw 481 Million.
Kirehe district is one of regions prone to regular water scarcity where a 20L can cost Frw 100.
It is expected that after the inauguration of Nyarubuye Water supply system, Beneficiaries will be paying Rwf 40 for every 20L.
However, residents said the cost is high.
The Mayor of Kirehe District Murayire Protais explained that the high cost is due to the fact that pumping machines use fuel energy adding that once the region is connected to electricity, cost of water will significantly drop.
