NUR Student Detained For Killing Mother

{{Police is holding an Economics student from the National University of Rwanda for allegedly killing his mother with a sickle.}}

The 25year old Third Year student (Kubwayo Donat ) is being held at Musebeya Police Post in Nyamagabe.

The gruesome murder of the deceased identified as Anastasie Mukabaruta, 63 occurred last Friday in Nkomane sector in Nyamagabe district of the Southern Province.

Police reports confirmed that the suspect had confessed to the murder but shown no remorse over his act used a sickle to slaughter the mother.

“The man has no known psychiatric or mental problems,” police said.

Chief Superintendent Hubert Gashagaza, the Southern Region Police Spokesperson, has strongly condemned the incident.

{Kubwayo Donat allegedly slaughtered his mother to death. NUR students have announced they will protest on Tuesday against Kubwayo’s action. The Protest march will start from the area sector to the scene of crime.}
