Nyanza District authorities have signed a revenue collection agreement with Imirenge SACCOs in order to enhance the Zero Cash Policy and implement the article 25 of the presidential order No 25/01/ of 09/07/2012.
With reference to the article 25/01 of 09/07/2012 establishing the list of fees and other charges levied by the decentralized entities and determining their threshold;
In accordance with the meeting resolutions of the MINALOC, Districts, Provinces, and Kigali city’s conference on Improved service delivery of august 13, 2012 on Zero Cash policy and the MINALOC Instructions of August 14,2012 that came into force in October 1,2012;
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, after consultation with the Ministry of Local Government issues the guidelines to ease District in the preparation of agreement with any financial institution for the collection of the decentralized revenues.
It is in this regard that Nyanza District on 29/11/2012 has signed a revenue collection agreement with Imirenge SACCO’s Managing Directors in their respective SACCOs and Executive Secretary on behalf of the District so as to enhance the” Zero Cash Policy” which stipulates that all taxpayers must deposit the taxes and fees due to District bank accounts in their nearest financial institutions.
