His lawyer has asked to stop this procedure.

It is reported that the husband of the Rwandan opponent has never yet been the subject of criminal proceedings in Europe.

His lawyer, Jan Hofdijk believes that “the prosecutor in Holland is not really satisfied with the work of immigration services.”

But according to immigration officials, Lin Muyizere took part in the 1994 genocide.

To justify their decision, they argue that Lin Muyizere have testified in favor of the former mayor Jean-Paul Akayesu before the International Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha.

Besides the fact that testifying is not in itself a crime, it must be added that Lin Muyizere was a protected witness and that his name should never have been revealed to the Dutch police.

According to the document, Lin Muyizere also allegedly made statements in the press, in favor of Simon Bikindi sentenced by the tribunal in Arusha.

Finally, two anonymous witnesses had filed against Muyizere.
