{The spokesperson of the National Public Prosecution Authority (NPPA) Alain Mukurarinda has written a request letter to suspend his duties for undefined time. }
Talking to IGIHE, Alain Mukurarinda said that he requested to suspend his post to take care of his family residing in Holland, a reaction he considered family related privacy.
He confirmed imparted information about his suspense request to be true. Mukurarinda added that he has to wait for suspense confirmation as the law promulgates.
He said that it is early to dispatch the exact time of return. He however, hopes to be accorded a post when he gets back which he attributes to the legal process he passed through.
In 1991, Mukurarinda went to Belgium where he studied law and returned in Rwanda in 2002.
He worked as a prosecutor in the Court of Appeal of Kigali since 2002. Following judicial reforms in 2004, he was transferred respectively to Nyamirambo, Gasabo and Rwamagana courts.
In 2008, he returned in Kigali where he served as National Public Prosecutor assuming the task of spokesperson of NPPA at the same time.
He is among prosecutors that incriminated Ingabire Victoire in High court of Kigali.
