{Mining association from Kamonyi and Muhanga districts in Southern Province have contributed Rwf 6,350,000 in Agaciro Development Fund (AgDF).}
The ceremony of gathering the fund was held last week on Thursday 5th November, 2015 in which 20 miners including their representative in Southern province, retired Major Rugamba Robert and delegates from Ministry of Natural Resources (MINIRENA) participated.
The fund was endorsed by 16 miners operating in Muhanga additional to four others from Kamonyi district.
The representative of Muhanga miners, Rugamba, told IGIHE that the contribution was meant to provide self dignity as well as supporting fellow Rwandans to build the nation.
Talking to the motive to contribute, he said ‘The more the country develops, the farther we prosper.’
He further unveiled that the contributed fund is insufficient over inadequate participation of 78 miners in Kamonyi and Muhanga districts.
