Mugesera Says ‘Recorded Speech’ Not Authentic

Genocide suspect Leon Mugesera on Tuesday contested the accuracy of the recording of his 1992 speech which has been produced in court as evidence of his utterances that incited hate against the Tutsi which climaxed into the 1994 Genocide.

Mugesera told court that the recordings in the hands of court are not reliable.

“I want the original speech which may be kept by ORINFOR” Mugesera said during Tuesday Trial.

He argued that in his original trial in Canada, “an expert in audio-video analysis of the Canadian Police discovered anomalies in the recorded speech.”

Mugesera thus says the document should be subject to Verification.

However, Rwanda’s Attorney Martin Ngoga rejected Mugesera’s Arguments noting that the recorded speech in hands of Canadania Police and the one of today are 100% orginal.
