{Over 250 government officials representing various public institutions, representatives of civil society and private institutions are set to attend the 13th national retreat to be held in Gabiro of Gatsibo district.}
The retreat is supposed to start on 14th where President Paul Kagame is expected to preside over, under the theme; “Ours, the Foundation of Development”.
Discussions of the retreat will highlight the promotion of ‘Made in Rwanda’ products in line with the government’s program of reducing imports.
Reports from National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda indicate that between January-September 2015, Rwanda imports were USD1,384,310,000 with exports at USD426,200,000 USD.
The retreat will also revolve around the way of fast-tracking the implementation of Vision 2020 as well as promoting citizens’ welfare and children rights.
It will be also an opportunity to reflect on the extent of implementing resolutions taken in the previous retreat.
The Minister in Charge of Cabinet Affairs, Stella Ford Mugabo said that 80% of 16 decisions taken during last year’s national dialogue were successfully implemented.
